Brand Philanthropy and Arts Foundations: Evaluating the ways in which the non-profit organisational model in the arts is being transformed by the operations of luxury brands
Details
Re-envisioning the non-profit model in the luxury industry this PhD will focus on the emergence of non-profit arts foundations sponsored by luxury brands. The research will investigate a sample case study of arts foundations in the UK and abroad in order to compare and evaluate the ways in which the non-profit organisational model in the arts is being transformed by the operations of luxury brands seeking to promote their own values and vision, and the role of philanthropy in society.
Fundraising in the creative industries: Trajectories of professionalisation and Brexit
Details
This PhD will look at trajectories of professionalisation in creative industries fundraising with a focus on the impact of Brexit. The PhD will map out the diversity of professional career paths available to creative industries fundraisers and the changes that Brexit will have on these. The PhD will be largely focused on advising policy makers on the types of initiatives needed to supported the profession before and after Brexit.
