- ‘Has it got a strong reputation in this particular field of research?’
- ‘Are there specific academic staff you want to do research or study with?’
- ‘Perhaps it offers something else unique?’
- 第七段 ， （可和第六段合并）— 表达你对学校的热爱 。 曼大官方给出的思路有：
- ‘What is it about the structure of the course, or the choice of modules, that appeals to you? Did you attend an open day or talk to lecturers?’
- 第八段— 阐明你未来的职业规划 。 曼大官方给出的思路有：
- ‘What are your career aims? How will this course help you achieve them? Knowledge, skills, accreditation with professional bodies etc
（4）第四部分
- 第九段 。 结语 。 表达感谢 ， 希望能尽快收到回复等 。

4. 注意事项
参考以往PS写作的经验和曼大的官方指南 ， 笔者给大家总结出了五大宜四大忌：
（1）大宜：
多举实例 。 'The statement will only be convincing if the points are backed up by hard evidence i.e. examples drawn from academic achievements, work experience and extra-curricular activities’
注重相关性 。 'The statement needs to be concise and should only include information that is strictly relevant. Don't tell your life story’
注重结构和整体风格 。 'Consideration needs to be given to the content, structure and style of the statement’
注重内部逻辑 。 'Organise the information; focus on one topic/theme at a time and ensure the text logically progresses’
积极向上 。 'Be positive and try to start each section with the most impressive evidence or information’

（2）大忌：
空洞无力 。 'Don’t make generic statements such as “Because you are an internationally-renowned university with an excellent academic reputation”. If the university itself made a difference in your choice - what was this?’
套用模板 。
不要有硬伤 。 比如用高中生或者初中生的语气、用词做PS ， 或者有明显的语法错误等等
逻辑混乱 ， 不明所以 。
