Drank wine at ten thousand coins a cask and laughed his fill.
A host should not complain of money he is short;
To drink together we’d sell things of any sort.
The fur coat worth a thousand coins of gold
And flower-dappled horse may both be sold
To buy good wine that we may drown the woes age-old.

▌家境优渥
麦朝枢先生曾于1962年在《光明日报》上发表《李白的经济来源》一文 。 他写道 ， 李白的故乡绵州（今四川绵阳）是著名的盐铁产地 ， 他和父亲都是贩运铜铁的私商 。 李白曾在出产银铜的地方秋浦居住过（现安徽贵池） ， 他很可能在那里继续做这个铜铁生意 。 郭沫若与刘大杰先生也认为李白的家族以经商为生 ， 因此李白有经济条件 ， 童年受到了良好教育 ， 也拥有了年轻时的“旅游资金” 。

北京师范大学教授康震也曾在《百家讲坛》做过解释：

唐朝诗人的稿费很高 ， 尤其是赫赫有名的大诗人 。 据记载 ， 白居易写了一篇墓志铭 ， 稿费就有六七十万钱 。 李白名满天下 ， 稿酬自然不输他人 。
