【中国日报综合|牛津新冠肺炎疫苗临床试验暂停，特朗普青睐的疫苗出问题了】 当地时间9日,美国公共卫生新闻网站STAT报道称,因怀疑一名疫苗受试者出现严重不良反应,英国一支备受瞩目的新冠疫苗暂停了三期临床试验 。
据悉,这支疫苗受到美国政府资助,由牛津大学与英国制药巨头阿斯利康联合研发 。

阿斯利康表示:常规操作
阿斯利康在一则声明中称,该公司已启动标准审核流程,暂停了疫苗接种,以允许审查安全数据 。 此外,该公司将搁置研究进程 。
A spokesperson for AstraZeneca…said in a statement that the company's "standard review process triggered a pause to vaccination to allow review of safety data." AstraZeneca said it initiated the study hold.
一位知情人士透露,受试者预期会康复,但不良反应的性质和发生的时间尚不清楚 。
The nature of the adverse reaction and when it happened were not immediately known, though the participant is expected to recover, according to an individual familiar with the matter.
阿斯利康发言人表示,暂停试验并启动审查程序属于“常规操作” 。

The spokesperson described the pause as "a routine action which has to happen whenever there is a potentially unexplained illness in one of the trials, while it is investigated, ensuring we maintain the integrity of the trials."

阿斯利康发言人称,公司正努力加快对此事的核查,以最大程度地减小该事件对疫苗试验时间的影响 。
The spokesperson also said that the company is "working to expedite the review of the single event to minimize any potential impact on the trial timeline."
据称这是该疫苗临床试验中第二次有受试者出现病症反应 。
STAT报道称,目前全球有9支候选疫苗进入三期试验阶段,阿斯利康研发的疫苗是目前已知的首支暂停临床试验的疫苗 。
There are currently nine vaccine candidates in Phase 3 trials. AstraZeneca's is the first Phase 3 Covid-19 vaccine trial known to have been put on hold.

据美国政治新闻网(Politico)报道,阿斯利康疫苗是特朗普“弯道超车计划”(Operation Warp Speed)所支持的几种疫苗之一,旨在加速新冠疫苗研发 。
The AstraZeneca vaccine, which the company is developing with scientists at Oxford University, is one of several backed by the U.S. government's Operation Warp Speed vaccine accelerator.
