而她并不是类似骗局的唯一受害者 。
这一切都要从抖音上的一类假视频开始说起 。 在剪辑粗糙的视频中 ， 骗子假借中国著名男演员靳东的画面 ， 操着天南海北的口音 ， 向屏幕这边的观众们表达爱意 ， 诱骗她们点赞关注 ， 甚至是开直播带货骗钱 ， 目标受众是那些文化程度不太高的中老年农村女性 。

ThoughHuanghadnevermethim,shecouldn'tcontrolherfeelingsforhim.Formonths,shesenthimmessagesandtransferredmoneytoanaccountpurportedlyownedbyhim.Sheevenleftherhusbandtosearchforhim,hopingtomeetandultimatelymarryhim.
Itendedupthattheentirethingwasascam.Thebogusaccounthadnothingtodowiththeactor,andtheshortvideosinwhichtheactorprofessedhislovewereentirelymadebyscammers.Huangkeptseeingthembecausetheapp'salgorithmdeterminedthatsheislikelytoengagewiththevideobasedonherpastbehavior.
AfterthescamwasexposedbyChinesemedia,Huangwasstillreluctanttobelievethatshehadbeendeceived.Withthesocialmediaplatformstillinvestigatingtheincident,hundredsofmiddle-agedandseniorwomenwerefoundtobethetargetsofsimilarfraudscams.

中国新闻门户网站网易的一项研究发现 ， 在抖音上给假冒名人短视频评论的用户中 ， 30.35%是40-50岁的女性 ， 50岁以上的女性则占约15% 。
纽约大学老龄创新孵化中心联合负责人、纽约大学迈尔斯护理学院吴蓓教授表示 ， 对于中国农村女性来说 ， 婚姻是一个应用函数问题 。 在结婚和抚养孩子方面 ， 他们没有太多选择 ， 因为他们期望自己老了以后能得到照顾 。
“但作为人类 ， 渴望社会支持和社会联系 ， ”吴教授说 ， “对于这些女性来说 ， 没有了爱的空间 ， 在情感支持这一块就是真空的 。
长期缺乏情感支持使农村妇女不知不觉中成为心理健康问题的受害者——根据《2018年中国全国心理健康发展报告》 ， 农村留守妇女比男性更容易抑郁和焦虑 。
