As an proverb goes, “The longest journey begins with the first step.”Success begins by doing small things.
In line with the standpoint of the proverb, I believe that only by persisting in ordinary small things can we achieve an extraordinary cause. As Michael Jordan said, “step by step, I can not see any other way of accomplishing anything.” Jordan wanted to play in the NBA when he was in high school, but he wasn’t even selected for the local high school team because he was less than 1.8 meters tall. To get the opportunities to practice in the NBA, Jordan even carried bags and did odd and ends for other players. Eventually, through continuous hard practice, he succeeded in showing his strength and getting into the NBA, and became a basketball superstar. Therefore, no one can succeed overnight and everyone gets closer to success gradually by constant efforts on trivial things.
In a word, instead of pursuing what’s beyond our reach, start from trivial things and strive for the goal step by step，which are the right ways to be closer to our goal.
常言道：“千里之行始于足下 。”成功都是从做点滴小事开始的 。
与这句话的观点一致，我认为只有坚持平平凡凡的小事，才能成就不平凡的事业 。正如迈克尔·乔丹所说，“一步一步地走，这是唯一的成功之路 。”乔丹在高中的时候就想去NBA打球，但由于当时身高不足一米八，他甚至没有入选当地高中校队 。为了获得在NBA练球的机会，乔丹不惜给其他球员拎行李、打杂 。最终，通过持续不断地努力练习，他成功展现了自己的实力，进入了NBA，成了一名篮球巨星 。可见，没有人可以一蹴而就，每个人都是通过在小事上不断努力逐步接近成功的 。
总而言之，切忌好高骛远，从眼前的小事做起，一步一步地努力才是不断接近目标的正确途径 。
